The Bakfiets, pronounced “BAHK-feets”, translates literally to “box bike” (”Bak’=box, “fiets”=bike). This hand-built cargo-bike is the epitome of cycling utility. The cargo-carrying box of the Bakfiets is placed in between its incredibly long wheelbase, giving it a low center of gravity and consistent handling whether it’s completely empty or filed to the brim.
